GKB Impact has a number of commercial partnerships, which continues to grow.
A summary of the current partnerships are:

GKB Tutt Bryant Incorporated Joint Venture

Tutt Bryant, as the capability partner, originated in 1938, and is a construction equipment supplier providing equipment sales and hire, parts and services, cranes, heavy lifting and specialised transport, and engineering solutions. Tutt Bryant is known for quality, professionalism and innovation in the construction and heavy equipment industry and through the formation of this relationship, is focussing on increased engagement and opportunities for Aboriginal participation.

GKB Buru Rehabilitation Strategic Alliance

Buru Rehabilitation, as the capability partner, is a majority Aboriginal owned mining and civil earthworks provider with a core focus on indigenous social outcomes through mining rehabilitation earthworks. Through this partnership we have secured a works contract with Alcoa, where a number of Gnaala Karla Booja members have obtained employment. The vision for the partnership is to expand to operate a larger number of contracts across mining sites, bringing with it greater employment opportunities for members.

GKB Koomba Bidi

Koomba Bidi is a Gnaala Karla Booja member owned and managed civil construction and equipment hire company. The dedicated team have extensive industry experience, offering market-leading solutions with our in-house capabilities and self-perform project delivery model. Together, GKB Impact and Koomba Bidi seek to be a leader in the civil construction industry within the South West of Western Australia. Opportunities for employment and sub-contracting will be made available to Gnaala Karla Booja members and the wider Noongar community through this partnership.

GKB Kaditj-Kaditj Hire

Kaditj-kaditj is the Noongar word for car or vehicle, and is also the term for ‘to know’ or ‘to understand’. Through the capability of Northside Rentals Indigenous, we offer a range of car hire, rental and purchasing options to aid large or small scale fleet management across the South West of Western Australia. GKB Kaditj-Kaditj Hire will provide a centralised service to individuals, businesses and the other Regional Corporations across the South West Settlement.

GKB ATG Transport

Australian Transit Group, as the capability partner, is renowned for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport services. These services are delivered through a qualified, highly committed team of professionals who are dedicated to ensure on-time and reliable services. The corporate culture we are cultivating is one of innovation and improvement, supported by robust systems and procedures. Australian Transit Group takes immense pride in being market leaders in the Australian transportation industry, setting benchmarks for quality and service. This partnership will focus on mine site worker transport, mine site tours, and traditional owner journeys. Employment opportunities will be made available through this partnership for Gnaala Karla Booja and Noongar drivers, service personnel, and back-office support.

GKB First People

First People is an online Australian First Nations Network platform designed to bridge the accessibility gap between First Nations people and businesses with mainstream Australia. The First People platform is designed to greater connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and businesses with jobs, opportunities and ultimately businesses across Australia by providing a streamlined approach to connection. GKB Impact is partnered with First People to capitalise on this opportunity for the Gnaala Karla Booja membership and the wider Noongar community. While it a stage of infancy, the vision is to take the Aboriginal job seeker experience to the next level increasing confidence and capability within our community to successfully engage with employment.

GKB Indigenous Emerging Business Forum

Housing shortages and poor living conditions plague our community across the region and Western Australia more broadly. Partnering with Indigenous Emerging Business Forum unlocks the solution to affordable and timely housing solutions, particularly in regional and remote areas. While in a stage of infancy, this partnership will seek opportunities to contribute to the housing crisis, to provide a greater number of purpose-built houses for the local and wider Aboriginal community. Beyond housing, this partnership has a number of supply options for ethical steel products.

GKB Dolphin Discovery Centre

Through partering with the Dolphin Discover Centre, a leader is ecological and marine conservation, we are opening up greater opportunities for the GKB Impact team, and the wider Gnaala Karla Booja community to engage with marine conservation programs and initiatives. This includes working alongside researchers, industry experts, eco-tourism providers and more. This partnership is focused on the learning and development of our people to create viable career prospects in the marine conservation industry. Together we will seek state, federal, private and philanthropic funding to expand the projects and programs we can deliver together for the benefit of our people and our country.
