As the nominated Aboriginal Heritage Service Provider (AHSP) for the Gnaala Karla Booja Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) region, we provide support, management and implementation of hertiage surveys, anthropological services, archaeological services, ground penetrating radar assessments, and heritage monitoring.
Operating three Aboriginal ranger teams, we undertake all aspects of land management including weed control, feral animal control, cultural burning, environmental monitoring and more.
Through the diverse skills and knowledge of our teams we undertake regular community education, information, and collaboration sessions.
We identify strategic commercial relationship across the industry to generate greater employment opportunities, leverage increased opportunities for Aboriginal businesses, promote improved culturally safe workplaces, and share in revenue.
Coming in the later part of 2025, we will establish a Noongar Business Incubator at the Davenport office which will provide subsidised office space and wrap around services for Noongar businesses.
Our approach brings together community knowledge and industry expertise to deliver outcomes that matter.
We work closely with the Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation and the Gnaala Karla Booja membership to understand their unique needs and goals and how we can support them.
Across our programs and services, caring for country is the highest priority. We lean on traditional knowledge and practices to ensure we care for the country as the country cares for us.
Through the diversity of roles offered at GKB Impact we provide employment and career opportunities throughout the business for Gnaala Karla Booja members and the wider Noongar community.
Through the range of heritage services offered, we protect, promote and enhance cultural heritage through compliance, surveys, monitoring, and proactive community based projects.
In time, the profits made by GKB Impact’s commercial activities will be returned to the community through additional programs and services, and through a wider offering of employment.
We invite you to join us on this journey of impact and innovation across the Gnaala Karla Booja region and beyond. Whether you’re a business looking for services or an individual eager to learn and grow, GKB Impact is here to support you.
